Northeast Jan 2013: R.I.O!!!

Muito bom dia a todos!!!!!

Estamos na cidade mais esperada por todos: RIO DE JANEIRO. Conhecida como Cidade Maravilhosa (que com certeza faz jus ao nome) para mim, é a cidade mais bonita do Brasil!!!

Chegamos aqui no dia no Sábado à noite e após um delicioso jantar, fomos descansar.

No Domingo pela manhã, a maioria dos intercambistas optou por fazer o tour opcional para a Favela da Rocinha: é muito interessante ver a diversidade cultural e econômica do Brasil, além do mais a grandiosidade da maior favela da América Latina. A tarde, fomos todos curtir a famosa praia de Copacabana (também onde estamos hospedados).

Ontem fomos aos pontos turísticos mais visitados por aqui: pela manhã, perdemos o fôlego com a vista do Corcovado. Em seguida, fizemos um tour histórico pelo centro e passamos também na frente do Sambódromo, para todos poderem ver onde acontece o famoso Carnaval do Rio de Janeiro (infelizmente não conseguimos entrar, pois ele já está fechado para a montagem do Carnaval, que já está pertinho de acontecer)!! À noite nos deliciamos em uma das melhores churrascarias do Rio de Janeiro!

Tudo aqui foi maravilhoso, e tenho certeza que as expectativas foram superadas!

Daqui a pouco partimos para Angra dos Reis, ultima cidade da nossa viagem, onde faremos um incrível passeio de saveiro pelas paradisíacas ilhas com águas calmas e transparentes e à noite teremos um inesquecível Luau de despedida!

Goood Morning everyone!!

We are in the most awaited city of the trip for the exchange students: RIO DE JANEIRO!! It is known as the Marvelous City, and in my opinion, Rio is the most beautiful city of Brazil!!

We arrived here Saturday night, and after eating a delicious dinner, we rested.

Sunday morning almost everybody went to the “Favela Tour” (a visit to Rocinha, the biggest slum of Latin America). It´s really interesting to see the different buildings and constructions, and how they have everything that they need inside the “favela”. In the afternoon we went together to enjoy the FAMOUS Copacabana beach, also where our hotel is located!

Yesterday we went to see the most important touristic spot of the city: we went to the Corcovado hill: everyone was amazed with the view from there! We also went to the historical part of Rio, and passed nearby Sambódromo, so everyone could see where the famous carnival of Rio takes place (unfortunately we could not enter Sambódromo, because it is already closed to make all the arrangements for Carnival, that is about to happen)!! We ended our tour at one of the best “Brazilian steak house” of Rio, where we ate a delicious dinner!

Everyone just loved here and I think that the expectations have been exceeded!

Now we are leaving for Angra dos Reis, the last city of the trip, where we will take part in an incredible boat adventure through the tropical islands with calm and transparent waters. At night we will have our farewell party!
