Chapada Diamantina!!!!

Boa Noite a todos!!!

Hoje faz mais um dia bem quente aqui na Bahia! Sim, já estamos na Bahia: viajamos mais de 1500 km desde que saímos de Belo Horizonte!

No caminho para cá, paramos uma noite em Vitória da Conquista para quebrar a longa viagem até aqui, e na sexta-feira chegamos aqui em Lençóis, cidade histórica que fica no Parque Nacional da Chapada Diamantina, no coração da Bahia!

Desde a última vez que escrevi, muita coisa aconteceu: nos 3 dias que passamos aqui conhecemos muita coisa e curtimos MUITO! Em nosso primeiro dia aqui, visitamos o Salão de Areias Coloridas bem próximo ao nosso hotel. Aliás, estamos no melhor hotel da cidade: um 5 estrelas MARAVILHOSO! Todos estão curtindo muito a infraestrutura!

Ontem cedo partimos para mais um dia cheio: visitamos a fazenda Pratinha e a gruta Lapa Doce. Os estudantes divertiram-se bastante na tirolesa e fazendo snorkelling na pratinha, e ficaram encantados com as exuberantes formações da Lapa Doce. A noite, após o jantar, uma surpresa os aguardou: todos ficaram muito animados quando chegou um grupo de capoeira com mais de 30 integrantes: foi um sucesso!!!

Hoje fomos até o Morro do Pai Inácio: é uma das vistas mais lindas do Brasil, na minha opinião!!! Todos ficaram maravilhados e claro, tiraram MUITAS FOTOS! A tarde nos esbaldamos na descida de 60m do escorregador natural.

Agora não nos resta alternativa além de descansar: estamos muito, muito cansados!!!

Amanhã cedo partiremos para Maceió, primeira praia da viagem: todos estão MUITO ANIMADOS!!

Good Evening everyone!!

Today is another really warm day here in Bahia state! Yes, we are already at Bahia state: we have travelled more than 1500 km since we left Belo Horizonte!

 

On our way here we stopped at Vitória da Conquista to rest one night before we continued our long journey up to here, and on Friday afternoon we arrived at Lençóis, a historical city in the middle of Chapada Diamantina National Park, on the heart of Bahia state!

Since the last time I wrote, much has happened: the three days we spent here were great! On our first day of tours here, we went to the Colored Sand Saloon nearby our hotel. Speaking about our hotel, we are here at the BEST HOTEL of THE REGION. It´s a five stars hotel with a great infrastructure! Everyone is enjoying here a lot!

Yesterday really early we went to a long day of tours here: we went to Pratinha farm and Lapa Doce cave.

The students had lot of fun at Pratinha making snorkeling and zip line, and got impressed with the beauty and exuberance of the cave’s formations at Lapa Doce. At night, after dinner, a surprise awaited them. They were very excited when a group of “Capoeira” with more than 30 members arrived! (Capoeira is a typical mixture of dance and fight left from the African slaves to the Brazilian culture and it’s really strong at Bahia state!): it was a success!

 Today we went to Pai Inácio Hill, which is one of the most beautiful sights of Brazil, in my opinion! All were amazed and of course, took lots of pictures! In the afternoon we had a blast slipping at the 60m natural water slide!

Now we have no choice but to rest: we are really, really tired!!!

Tomorrow early we will leave for Maceió, the first beach we will visit on the Northeast Trip: Everybody is really excited and can´t wait to arrive there!!
